I have extensive experience managing scientific research projects – from designing experiments, organising field trips to remote locations, and full project lifecycle management. As a commercially-trained ADAS Scientific Diver, I have planned and coordinated several trips as the Dive Coordinator, taking into account all workplace Health & Safety, such as diving Risk Assessments, and the associated paperwork.
Currently I am managing a field trip to a remote field station on the Great Barrier Reef. This requires extensive logisitcal planning, from organising freight to travel on a barge to the station, preparing food plans for two weeks in advance, ensuring all risk assessments are up-to-date and all participants are compliant (Dive Medicals, First Aid trained etc.).
I enjoy getting people together to make things happen. I am a skilled and persuasive communicator and enjoy utilising stakeholders’ strengths to ensure there are limited weaknesses within a project lifecycle.
